Has anyone ever ran the AC Delco Rapid Fire spark plugs in their big blocks? I have heard nothing but good about these plugs. Smoother idle and less black soot out the back. Thanks

I have no personal experience with those plugs. However, if you are looking to clean up your transom, adding an MSD 6M-2 cleaned mine up alot.

I have them in my boat 97 280ZT 502mpi I think about 40hrs on them now. Did it make a difference? Not noticable. http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

Bukkakiblaster,

Which do you have? The MSD or the Rapid fire plugs? The MSD made a difference in mine.

when my factory installed plugs go bad, I switch over to the Bosch Platinums. I like the smooth idle and easy starts and how long they last.

You guys wont believe the difference on your transom with adding an MSD. It WILL clear it up alot.

vinny ,if i ever get another boat , no more white ! it will have sandy footprint colored interior, soot colored transom and swim platform , and some kind of greenish water line stripe . thats what they seem to want to look like when you use them anyway . RISENSHINE !!!!

Right on Bob, USE tha boat. It is not an investment. It will depreciate weither it is a garage queen or is docked and beaten. Take it out and beat the hell out of it.

You gotta clean it up afterwards though.

and plugs will not prevent soot on the trans.
