I glanced at the shirts & the hat, I think the old stuff was much better. Hell if you didn't know better you'll think they were for a chest club. I love the old Red, White, and Blue patriotic shirts. I hope their not going PC on us!!!

Anyone else having problems actually ordering? I haven't seen any way to 'add to cart' or buy in any way-
Hopefully I'm not being an idiot...

Yea, you have to call them to order. The site used to be set up for online ordering, but then they took it off totally and now they have the items back up, but you have to call to order.

Is Brilliant Promotions still doing Check's stuff?
If they are, I think you can get a whole variety of things and they just stick the Check logos on for you. ;)

I would like just a regular t shirt that says checkmate. Who where's a button up shirt on a boat other than a salesman. And if you ain't got big muscles a tank top is not for you.
The gear looks like a good start, but much more is needed and I prefer my logos on the back of my shirts with a small logo on the front.
This is just my opinion

Fellas,
I don't know how it works now...
But it used to be that you could call Brilliant and they had a catalogue of hundreds of items that you could order and put Checkmate logos on. And there was more than one version of the Check logo available.
In fact, some of the guys from the board did a bulk buy of some Check jackets through Brilliant.
Now I don't know all the details about who has the rights to the different logo versions. But I would imagine that either Bill or Doug has the rights to use the old logos. If that is the case, I would think it might be possible to call and ask for stuff with the old logos. But I'm just guessing, perhaps I'm wrong.
I'm sure Kip must know. So I would suggest one of you send him a PM and
ask. :)

OK everyone, I just got back from Checkmate, and Linda Smith loaded me down with Checkmate hats, and T-shirts. These are from the old "regime", Checkmate Boats. All the new stuff is Checkmate Marine, so this older stuff needs to go. Priced to sell.
I may go get some more myself.
Just call Mike or Kip at 419-562-3881 and they should be able to set you up.
Tell Kip Coop sent ya.

This is how they learn what people want. I once put a thread on Scream & Fly, Project X Is Ugly, about how I disliked the looks of the new Merc Verado. I felt bad cause I meant to word it "Is" it ugly. Well anyway it turned out to be a huge thread and I was told that the Merc folks follow customer blogs.
BTW, maybe those shirts are leftovers from some Chest Club!

I wish the guys would work out a deal with us so we could make some Checkmate Forums shirts.
I'd like to use the Check logo and add our site's stuff to it.
Perhaps do one of those poker run type shirts with a two or three animated boats on the front. Like a Pulsare a Convincor and maybe an older model.
I've made the offer numerous times and nothing comes of it.
If we ever got something done, it would be kewl. :thumb:
Chris, is there some way of cutting and pasting a picture of a Checkmate in action onto a shirt? I've seen some great shots that really show off the mates speed and performance. I feel that just having a logo and a simple image doesn't say enough.

Greg probably would have some good sources for shirts I would think.
I rather like the silly animated style shirts, but that's just me.
Some artists rendering of a Pulsare with some big crazy guy with a grin on his face throwing a big rooster tail would work for me.
Or even three animated boats coming out of the shirt with something kewl on it would be neat.
If Checkmate ever says they're interested in doing something, than perhaps we'll do it. :)

I just got off the phone with Checkmate. It was like seeing Santa for the first time. I couldnt believe they actually answered the phone and were nice. Makes me like my boat even more. They still have t shirts, they also have a machine and are making their own decals now. Still cant believe how nice they are.

You probably talked to Linda Smith, she's Dougs wife, she is a sweetheart and almost always cheerful and smiling. Its hard not to smile when you talk to her.
