Hey guy's, Just wondering if there is anthing I can do? I have an inboard tank and quicksilver mercury gauges! my boat is a 1988 so I know that it was older technology! my problem is when my boat is full of gas the guage read great exept anytime after that it moves around because the float is always moving. now even when it should have 1/2 tank it bounces between empty and 1/4 I cannot tell how much gas I have some times I only have to put one 5 gallon can to fill it and another time I have to put 3 5gallon cans! I don't want to be wrong with my children on the boat! The float is working good not sticking Anything I can do besides keeping it 100% full all the time? thanks

Contact Lovorsi Marine and get one of these fuel senders. Way better than the crappy float type.

Don't even waste your time trying to go through one of the dealers in the Winnipeg area for something like this.. They won't have a clue.

I don't have a Checkmate, my Dad does. I'm an Allison guy. He has a 2005 - 1850 with a 150 OptiMax. It's a great boat, I'm very impressed with the performance and build quality. It's been up for boat of the month a couple of times if you want to see pictures.
The sender goes into the same hole. The hardest thing about it is your ability to access the sender and get it out and the new one in. Make sure you call them and speak to them before ordering to ensure that you get the right unit for your application. Ask for Ed Mannion. He is great!!
