To start with, you need more set back. 12 inches seems to work very well with the prop shaft 3 1/4" below the pad and a Trophy Plus 4 blade 25" pitch depending on the elevation at your location. Good luck, boatman

I don't think you'll get to the low to mid 70's running the 200 on a 2100. Switch from 200efi to a 225efi. Most of the stock 225efi's on the Pulsares(mine included) will see 72-75 mph(gps) in stock form. Add some more setback and a good prop and you'll see 74-77.:thumb:

I have a 1997 issue of Powerboat magazine. They tested the 2100 BR Pulsare with a 200efi. They hit a top speed of 64.2mph @6100 (64.2mph@6100) rpms. (radar) I could see you hitting upper 60's with more setback and a great prop.

The mirage is definitely the wrong prop for a Pulsare. Get a trophy or Tempest. Hopefully you can find one to borrow and try. Don't be shy about shopping in the US for a prop. You can find NEW Trophy's and Tempests from dealers for $380 - 425 US alot less than the almost $900CND retail in Canada.

If you are going to use more setback, you can just add a static setback plate in front of your present hydraulic plate. Hydrodynamics makes a great unit.

If you are really intent on low 70's you will need to find a 'fast' prop. The Tempest A40 and A45 (pre- Tempest plus) are about 2 MPH faster. They come up on Ebay. Most guys think they are less valuable but are in fact superior. They have thinner blades and will run more RPM and therefore more MPH. I got one off Boatman and I can run low 70's with my 200 EFI. You may need 10-12" setback as well thou.

That's what I'm talking about Mark! I ran 78.9gps with that same prop on a 200efi, Pulsare. Motor wasn't completly stock, but was still a good bit better than 65mph. boatman
