I just bought a 1988 predictor 16ft with the merc 115 runs good but im thinking about a newer motor any suggestions would be very helpful.how much motor will this boat handle and do you know what it is rated for I can't make out the tag.

Welcome, your boat is rated for 125hp. But there are several on here that are running much higher than that. In fact I am looking for a nice affordable 150 for my '83 Predictor.
