bimini top wanted

Need a bimini top for the old girl.84 ambasador. I want one that snaps to the windshield with the walk out zipper. anybody have to sell?

But what you're describing is actually called the 'convertible' top ;)

so if it attaches to the windshield its a convertable top and if it doesnt it is a bimini.Right

The convertible is better for high speeds, but the bimini is better for view. I've had my bimini up to 45 mph with no problems.

I just ordered an Anchor Shade for my Convincor. I could not stand the thought of drilling holes for a bimini top. I hope we like it. The only problem I can see with an Anchor Shade is you can't go above an idle with it up. Robin

yeah got the anchor shade for mine....... definately doesnt work over idle.

but it does keep the sun off ya in the hot days!!! havent seen you around much bdusted, gonna be on the river anytime soon??? we're leaving for "smoke on the water" up in MI next thursday. should be a good time.
might get on the river this weekend sometime, if not maybe on the 4th.

you can get a bimini top with an enclosure which is the best of both worlds. Clear vinyl joins the bimini to the windshield just as side curtains do.

We always had them made at a local canvas shop. Since every boat is different, its always a custom job. as long as it extends the boating season and adds comfort in the summer it's worth the cost. Get them to use solid tubing up front instead of straps which break at 35mph.
