It really is a nice boat. Needs a jackplate and that would help out tremendously. Looking for a sportfire. I do have my eye on 2 more boats though since a Sportfire is hard to come by. :)
If I didn't have 3 other projects goin right now....too much into them to let em set the way they are. Maybe I can off em when I am done and see where you are....:D

I still cant believe no one has bid on it. 2500 for a turn key boat. Seems like a good deal to me. Especially with the newer bass boat trailer. I know a lot of boats dont do well until the last day but still.
Had some interesting offers so far. Old Caddy with 56,000 original miles
24 ft cuddy cabin and some other bizzare offers but I want another ski/speed boat. Just a little more family friendly.
Some guy actually had the nerve to send me an email and tell me to keep the stream and girls are a dime a dozen. Guess he had no life.

Kary the Viper was a better and faster boat than the vector.........i ran 86mph with the same 150hp and 28-2 blade that was on my other boat Viper
This Viper is very sharp...my daughter is fond of blue :D But since she is only 5, it will be a while before she gets to drive one.
What prop would you run on the Caddy do ya think? LOL

I'm really not sure on that one LOL.
I also forgot to mention in the add. The steering is brand new.
Viper1.. How nice of a ride is the viper with a 150?

the viper with the 150 short was a great boat.......i even put a OZ-T3 V6 with speedmaster lower unit on that viper and it would run 115mph.....that two was a great ride.......Viper

Not knocking ya but fastest I've heard or seen was like 102 and he had a Merc 300x on it. I had a hard time believing 3 digits in a Viper until I seen it at Rumble on the River. I don't think 115 would be possible. Just my thought. I'm not saying your wrong because anything is possible just seems unlikely.

If you read my previous post I wasn't trying to nock you. Do you have any pics of this setup? I'd love to see what it looked like. I can't imagine with anything other bigger than a 150. I know guys do it all the time just doesnt seem like a viper is that great of a ride. 20 mph or under the viper is a fantastic ride but after about 45 its not the greatest. Mine hops to much although I know that I have a big setup issue and really need more hp, jackplate and solid motor mounts if for some reason it doesn't sell. If you hear of a Checkmate Sportfire for sale (just boat and motor) please let me know. Have a great 4th.
A guy had a V6 225 mounted on a Viper and it rocked!!
You can put about anything on a boat as long as it is set up SAFELY
A 300lb inline 150 with a little tunin will do as well as a big V6....power to weight ratio....big factor.

Finally I got a bid. I know boats don't really start to sell until the last day or 2 but makes you relax a bit. So now I know that I'm in the search for a Sportfire. Someone has to know of one for sale.
I seldom bid early. Most of my ebay bidding is done in one big chunk 6 seconds before it ends....have patience grasshoppa :D
Roundoakman has bid on about every single boat that I've looked at on Ebay! Wonder what his deal is? He does seem to have a high feedback number.......................

It was neat. I can't believe it only went for 2500.00 turn key. It had brand new steering in it too.
