Hey Kip, I am thinking about calling the factory for new vinal seeing as how the boat is coming together now. My question to you is, "Are the factory seat covers sold PREFORMED or is it just a big sheet of vinal that I have to cut/form to the seat/pipe/etc.?" Thanks and are there any other colors I can get? Thanks Kip.

I'm willing to bet they are a fitted slip cover.Slide them over the frame and use stainless steel stapes to fasten the material to the base of the frame or seat bottom. You can't beat factory seat covers.

Erik is correct they are fitted finished covers ready to slip on and staple......and if you are re-doing all the upholstery you can get any colors that we have available.

Thanks guys, I just wanted to know BEFORE I called the factory. I don't need "custom interior" for my boat. Just something different, no grey, too hot. As long as they are "fitted", I will order from factory. Can't beat it! I only need to know now what it includes in the kit. (I am making new side panels and need to know if they are cut out the same way as factory. Not that it reallyt matters but a complete matching interior is on my "have to do list.")

I talked to Mike on the phone yesterday. He told me around 700 just for the covers and around 1400 complete if the seats need rebuilding.Luckly the covers are all I need but they are so backed up with interiors that I am going to wait till fall.Everyone waits till the last minute then wants it done during there busy season.I hope to have my deck sanded and buffed or regelled if need be at the same time. The previous owner of the boat neglected to take care of the hull to keep it shining like a Checkmate should!

Backed up until fall!!!! Guess I have to lag some plastic porch chairs to the floor!! Well, the only part I stripped was the sundeck (in pic) and the seats are still intact. I have 2 choices. 1: Run the cracked grey seats
2: Bust out the plastic and go farther in debt!
Guess it will be #2. I can't run a freshly painted boat w/ old interior. I will call factory hopefully tomarrow. Thank you fnshmaster and Kip. Everyone else, thanks a lot also. You guys are great and very informative. I only hope I can help someone else out someday.

Im sure they can get to it.Mike told me he had 8 interiors waiting to be done.I told him I would wait till fall because my interior is still usable, just isnt up to Checkmate standards.Good luck with your boat! http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/biggthumpup.gif
