Family and performance boating mag, 1st test of the 16' Pulsare

Great artical, they got the boat in the water and made the first runs. They had a problem with the speedo tube. It was broke inside the boat, this caused them to take on water. Once they got that fixed they took the boat out again. The 115 OptiMax is not broken in yet, but they did manage to make a quick burst for top speed. 54.1mph on GPS. They did comment that the setup was not right yet and that there is more speed in the boat. Should be cool to watch them tweek this little hot rod.

Just talked to Warren K (editor) ....today. Doing some more prop testing soon and they are also putting a jack plate on it ...should be interesting. They have all kinds of stuff planned for this boat...Warren said he loves the boat.. a blast to drive!

In addition to the progress of "Quick Buck" (16 " Pulsare)they have a nice write up on Checkmate Boats in their Muscle Boats article, a roundup of the latest Outboard Performace Boats. They chose to focus on the Pulsare 2100 and the Pulse 211.

For those unaware of the magazine, it's a great publication about the type of boats we're involved with.
