1986 Mercury Blackmax 200 2.4. This is the original motor that came on my Talon. I just did a compression test: #1/145lbs, #2/140lbs, #3/150lbs, #4/145lbs, #5/145lbs, #6/140lbs. Motor would make a great drop on powerhead!! It does need some minor detail..It has one bad trim solonoid, needs new plugs, could use some minor rewiring (to make it right), carb cleaning (from sitting for 3 years). The lower unit has a nosecone with 5 intakes and a torque tab welded on and fresh gear oil. I just had the welding cleaned up (therefore the lack of paint on the skeg in the picture). I've run the lower unit up to 80mph and it shifts and runs great!! It only needs a new water pump and housing. I would like to get $2500. for the package.
