I have a new Alpha SS lower unit for sale. I built this unit to run on my 1987 Enchanter..Unfortunately I did not realize this unit will not fit the generation 1 upper. It will fit Generation 2 only!
I found the gearcase at a Mercury dealer who went out of business. It was in a box a customer ordered it and never picked it up it sat on the shelf for over 15 years. It is NOS I had all the internals 100% new Mercruiser parts, outdrive was built at Hyannis Marine . I am now selling to cover the cost of the replacement lower and labor. This is a nice addition to your boat you will see speed gains , better high speed control, increased corning speeds and it is a low water pickup set up.
