cool senator! http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/thumb.gif

what engine/speed?

when i see this one, i know that the maintaince by us owners is better than the people over here. my senator far less beautiful.

do you have any interiour shot? is this one repainted?

this boat has the same crack looking inside engine compartment.

i decided to go for a new checkmate instead of redoing my senator. i want to go for a new stiletto with 8.2HO 425hp engine.
i am still saving for it...

helmich,
Big block-7.4litre,330HP,Bravo1 spinning a 14 3/8x25 Mirage Plus @ 4800RPM ,pegs the speedo at 75 , 68 on GPS . I added a Jacobs Marine Master Ignition , K&N spark arrestor and EMI S.S. exhaust ( you can see by the picture , I had to modify the sun deck underside to make them fit ).
Original gelcoat , no paint .
The interior is white with red and black stripes . All original . Needs to have the carpet replaced and new foam in the seats , hopefully this summer .
What crack ?

Helmich,
No cracks , some fancy spray on they did at the factory . Only dirty area is around the trim pump . Cap leaks , I rebuilt the trim pump last year , and it lessened the mess , but it still comes out the vented cap . I'm thinking of adapting a valve cover breather to the cap .

Nice ride ,
I keep mine on a trailer in the garage when not in use . We have the same interior , just different colors . I live across the street for the public access to Glen Lake where I do most of my boating . Lots and lots of elbow grease and wax keeps it looking like new . I'm out on the lake as much as possible . Can't wait for warmer weather to get here . Tough looking at it all winter just sitting there in the garage .

Thanks Chris . I love this boat too .
The first picture is my new installation of a JVC cd player ( I really did not want to cut a hole in the fiberglass and 99 percent of the time , I am stopped and have the seats turned backwards ) , the 12 disc changer is under the rear seat .
Yes , that is a string going up from the port side rear cleat , I fly large kites out of the boat ,no powerlines or "kite eating trees" .

May I ask why you placed your stereo below the back bench? I'm just wondering would that not get in the way, or wet when people come in and out of the boat, or maybe even damaged if you carry things like water skii's wake and knee board's etc.? In my case that would be gone in a week. Just askin my friend http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Great looking boat by the way I must admit http://checkmate-boats.com/6/ws/,s,8626072361/Graemlins/biggthumpup.gif

Z06,
So far no problems with water , as long as the waterproof cover is down . I make people dry off before they get down into the cockpit . Have to be careful when loading ski's , wakeboard and anchors . The cover is pretty tough . It only sticks out from the seat base about 1 1/2 " . If it doesn't work out , no problem covering the hole with vinyl . I just can't seem to get the courage up to put holes in the fiberglass ( I've owned the boat for 10 years and have yet to drill 1 hole in the fiberglass).

Moved the stereo this last summer when I redid the interior . It's on the drivers side just in front of the rear seat . It's mounted to an alum. plate bolted to the side panel . Under the gunwale .
