i have measured mine and from the front of boat to the back not including the platform it is right at 24 foot
mine had a 454 and its 330 at engine and around 300 to outdrive
it probably around 57 mph with that motor in it and should be at 4700 rpm

Run a tape right down the center line of the boat and do not include the swim platform. A lot of mfg. include swim platform in their LOA but all it "really" does is "cover" the drive allow your step mom a way to get back in the boat. As far as speed, it all depends on prop pitch, weight of boat, water conditions, etc. My Enforcer w/ 350 and Alpha runs 58.6 on GPS with a cleaver prop. Same pitch Quicksilver Mirage prop the boat only runs 56.4mph. (both times same fuel, weight, water conditions @ 4750 rpm) Prop style makes a big difference in the performance. Best way to check it is GPS.

i run a 22 4 blade and speedo reads 64-65 mph ----1 person 1/4 tank fuel and smooth conditions . i know speddos arent that accurate also it takes alot longer to go from 55-65 than it did to reach 55 i need a lot of lake

with the stock 454 ran 56-57 gps all the time, ran best with a 23 mirage..not plus, or a 22 hydro. the hydro was slower but eliminated most of the propoising.
i really doubt your seeing 64-65 with a stock 330 454, but anythings possible.
run with a gps and see what youve got, i bet your in that 57 range.
i think youll find you need 13-15hp per mph increase if your gonna modify it.
mboger....whatd you do to yours?

BTW, regarding the size, it is a true 24.....they called it a 242 when ours were made then i think in 99 or 00, they started calling the same hull a 260 or 26 ft'r, that included the swim platform.
hope all this helps

tyson,
ive got mine running right at 80 now.
i built a 502 and put it in there, slightly modified...made about 510hp at the prop. boat ran 73 at best, 70-71 all the time. ive heard people say a HP500 will get you close to or at 70 mph. and thats about what i saw.
i didnt modify my 454, still in a crate.
lets hear what what mboger did, im not sure ive heard of his mods....

are you running a 502? just curious, im doing the same thing and thought id compare numbers on what your doing.
i have a modified 502 with an m1, 5 psi turning a 28 bravo at 5200.
i see anywhere from 78-81 on gps, depending on load.
what about you?

im running a 7.4 but going to a 502 over the winter
and will probably bump the boost up to 7 lbs then
i have a 26 but need to keep it if you were closer i would let you borrow it to see how it does
what outdrive are you using i have a bravo one it just seems like a 26 is too small
what prop are you running and all
call brent at bblades in wisconsin and tell what all you are running and rpms and he will set you up he did mine in a week because it was my bday he is a super guy

bought my last hub from Brett.......actually one of his others workers but all was good.
i usually run my 28 bravo, running a bravo one drive, turns 5200 at about 79-80.....i need to get it up around 5600-5800 for peak HP according to dyno prior to procharger addition.
i think ill improve with the 26.

sounds like you have done quite a bit of modifying to your 592 to be able to turn those kind of rpms
where do you boat at i have been to rockford a few time when i lived in IL

i boat on the Rock River locally, also Madison WI, Green Lake WI, Mississippi river. Castle Rock Lake, WI, and i didnt go this year but the LOTO shootout.
i did some mods to the 502, but nothing too crazy. similar to the HP500 setup on i ported the stock heads...seemed to turn out well. oh, and the cam,its gonna change to though....need something milder for everyday use.

just got back and we rented a houseboat on the dock and ran a 32 skater in it we averaged 100 mph during the whole course
the first leg we were the seventh boat back for lunch so we did pretty good for not quite having it totally set up yet
we have to drop the drives in the water a little more too much prop slip still
it made the ride pretty scary at times also
