I know this is probably a long shot but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some jetboat style headers for a Ford 302. (The tubular kind that come up and over the transom) I would love to have thru the hull exhaust but the boat just sits too low in the water, I thought this could be a fun alternative. (Yeah I'll have to lose the engine hatch cover but who cares, I can fab up a half cover for the front) I'm jealous of hearing all the boats run uncorked while I have to deal with the prop exhaust.
P.S. I'm not looking to drop $500+ on something I may or may not use but if anyone knows where I can start looking I'd appreciate it.

I can help you I was in the same boat as you. I have a 1976 checkmate with a jet and a 455 engine. The man you need for all your parts is Tom Morrow of Smithville MS. He is old school and is a hard core jet boat racer. I think I paid around 700 for mine. The headers are custom and long chrome Tubes. I can run my arm all the way up in them till I hit my shoulder. He can help with all your jet parts, cables, steering, foot throttle, and much more. My boats are on the frapper map J Robinson N.C. Or I can email you some pics of my jetboat with the headers. I cut my hatch to clear my headers looks Good.
