Happy 4th Birthday Checkmate-Boats.com

It was on this day 4 years ago, on September 17, 2002, that we started our original message board. We had a humble beginning, starting out on a EZboard. It was on this day in September of 2002, while I sat at our cottage kitchen table, on a rainy day, that I opened up the original EZboard Checkmate Community Forums. We then moved to a Infopop UBB in November of 2002 and then finally to our current home here running vBulletin in March 2006.

I would like to send out a big thank you to our Supermoderators JW (Jim) and 175Checkmate (Gus) for all their hard work and dedication. Without them, we wouldn't be here today, simple as that!

I would like to also thank all of our members who really are the content of our site. So a big thank you to everyone who has participated on the forums over the past four years. Everything that has been contributed over the last four years is still here today!

I would also like to thank all of our current and former; sponsors, supporting vendors and supporting members who have contributed to our piggy bank over the years. Without your support, I also doubt we'd be here today!

4 years already. Its been that long since my boat was in the water. BUMMER.

I would also like to personally thank all the members of this great site. With out you this place would not be what it is today.
In this day and age with all the junk that is going on in the world it is very nice to be able to come on this site and just chill with friends.
To this day it still blows me away the level of integrity our members have.
Thanks again for this great place we call home.

Thanks guys for making such a great site. Of all the sites I belong to this one is by far the best. No arrogant people on the board at all. Everyone is laid back and friendly. Thanks for everything.
