Hello,

I bought a new pulsare 2100 BR a week ago. :thumb: Now I'm looking for the right engine! With us in Germany are the largest engines of the Vmax 250,
E-Tec 250, the E-Tec225 H.O. and the Optimax 225. The Vmax 300 and the Mercury XS doesn't have in Germany service. What is the different between the E-Tec 225 H.O. and the E-Tec 250? Wich one is faster???

Thanks Stephan

Merc is they way to go. Once you've run Black you'll never go back! i've got a 225 opti and it runs great.

I just got to ride in a 20-21 ft stoker with a 300 yamaha hpdi and was very amazed, very quiet at cruising speed and blazinly fast 92mph with 3 guys in it. I love my checkmates but have to say the stoker i rode in accelerated like crazy rode flate as can be and turned on a dime. He went with the yamaha after 4 mercs:shakehead: , not saying i wouldnt get a merc but the yamahas definatley worth a look. Aaron

Not to put down the Yammie (very dependable) but same boat with 300 Merc will run triple digits..
