That sounds like a sweet combo. What kind of outdrive does it have? What kind of condition is it in?

I have had two omc setups both in reinells. First was a 1990 second a 1992 mine were both 5.0 fords. One problem is parts are getting harder to get and rather expensive when ya get them. Mine were both cobras first was 190hp second one with some work made 300hp. Never had any out drive problems at all the king cobra is a very good drive and you will not break that with a 351. If its a cobra from what ive been told 350-400hp is about it maybe a bit more depending on your driving. What drive is it king cobra or cobra im guessing its 260 hp? OH by the way the reinells i had were not your typicall barges they were very cose to the mirages of that era.:thumb: Aaron

boat is a 1990 so drive is possible 1990 also . i think o.m.c has two different drives and one is a patent that volvo uses. Am I making a good choice on this boat seller states mint boat .

Well it depends on the price if its a good decision and weather its the boat ya want mostly, checkmates are very few and far between here in Washington state so that makes the prices go up. As far as the outdrive goes one is a COBRA and the other is a KING COBRA both are good with the king being OMC strongest they ever made not many small block boats came with it so im assuming yours is the regular which is good to 350-400hp with some care. The volvo your talking about has cone clutches which i believe to be similar to the KING COBRA. If ya post some pics i may be able to tell ya a bit more, hope this helps some. Aaron
