Does anyone have interest in coming to Hardy Party/hot boat weekend for the weekend after Labor Day 2007. We are trying to get Hotboat magazine to come again. I think it would be a great place for a Checkmate regatta. I am thinking it would have to be on Friday because Saturday is so crazy up there. A lot of water and boats of all sizes could come. Any thoughts let me know.

That's why I'm starting this early. If we can get everyone together we can show the West coast guy's how we do it! Is this something that should be free or should we get enough money from everyone for at least a T-shirt and can cooler? Any ideas would help. Like you said let's plan this!:cheers

You also need to mark your calendars for the 2007 Checkmate Poker Run / Regatta. I'm hoping that they will hold this event again around the same time.
Been to the first two, and I've gotta tell you it's a great time with a lotta good people. :bigthumb: :bigthumb: :bigthumb:
With that being said, I would be willing to do this Hardy Party / Hot Boat week-end. Just send me directions!!!

Just so there is no confusion. This is not going to be put on or sponsored by Premier Motorsports! This is something that I will help put together myself for all of the board members here. Remember this is a fun run, not a sanctioned poker run or event due to liability. If we want to carry it that far please let me know and I will pursue it.

I was thinking of the same weekend as Hardy Party just because HOT BOAT Magazine will be there this year. If anyone is opposed to this let me know, otherwise we will go with September 14-15 2007 as a tentative date. If everyone wants me to get T-shirts and can coolies I will need your info and how many so that I can get pricing going on all this. I was thinking of a T-shirt similar to what hotboat uses for there magazine, except it would have Checkmate 2007 Hardy Dam on it. Let me know what you think.

Will it be open to checkmate owners that are not on the forum. Also will it be open non-checkmate owners that wish they were.

This will be open to all Checkmate owners, not just forum guys. Hotboat weekend is open to everyone and a great time. I would recommend it to anyone. The idea of this was to get as many Checkmates together as possible in one place, I am sick of seeing the regatta pics from Havasu of all the other loyalists and never a Checkmate Regatta! I think Check owners have more heart and soul than any other group out there. I will start a seperate post on this so we can get things going in the right direction.
Thanks Jeff
PS. Tell anyone who has a Checkmate what is going on, but be sure that they email me if they want T-shirts or anything like that because I am going to have to have them made and there will be a cost involved for everyone wishing for t-shirts. You certainly do not have to pay for a shirt to come, just if you want one. EVERYONE with a Checkmate is invited.

Sounds good to me. I should be able to round up a couple more Checkmates as well.

I've put in for a vacation for that friday the 7th a month ago. That will give me Thursday thru Monday off. I plan to be there, but the wife is giving me grief because she going to be working just about all Summer(a first since I've known her). I'm going have to really clean up the starflite this summer if i'm going show it off. maybe even sell it!

OK Guys, my wife brought to my attention that this would possibly be a bad weekend due to not bringing kids for most people. This is mainly an adults weekend and would probably not work for most people, plus it is kinda crazy that weekend. Would anyone be open to a different date? Give me some ideas that work good in your schedules.
