I picked up a 03 ZT 260 that the dealer had the silent choice option put on the 496 Mag. Will that really slow me down much...or not at all?

I have never heard of a silent choice system slowing you down, providing you are running the exhaust in its' open position. If you are running closed, thru the prop, I have only noticed a small amount of speed loss, maybe 1-2 mph. The real problem I see with silent choice exhaust is that the positioning of the diverters limit you to length of riser you can run. While this is not generally a problem with stock power, it will be a problem with bigger power. It will limit your cam selections. If you choose a more radical than stock cam profile, you will suffer reversion problems..
