:surf: I seen every buddy was talking about the 06 Checkmate poker run in November of 05. I just wanted to know if their was going to be a 07 Checkmate Run or did I over look it somewhere.

I will try to plan for SCT,

I am building a new pull rig now. Well new to me I am painting it the same color as my boat. I will go as long it is not the same week I go to Alabama. I have some family down their that live on a lake thought I might take my boat this year. The lake has 1700 miles of shore line.

SCT I would like to take a look at your boat when ever your around I don't live far from you. I have never seen a brand new Checkmate just in pictures. Their is a new dealer about hour and a 1/2 from here I herd about, I don't think they are pushing much.

Been to the first two runs, and I plan on making this one. Hope that the new owner is aware of this event, and plans on participating this year.

By the way, who has all the pictures from last years run??? I would like to see the group boat pic everyone did at the start of the morning run.

Is anybody open to another weekend? That falls on Coast Gaurd Festival weekend in Grand Haven. I think you will lose all of us West Michigan guys to this. I would love to come, but it would have to be a different weekend.

Thanks Merc245, I will definitely take you up on that when this thing gets finalized. Sorry we have missed the past events, they always lined up with weddings, etc. but this year looks to be do-able.

theres an ohio state park with a nice launch & beach just west of the mouth of sandusky bay.With hundreds of sites. All with in 15 -20 min ride from leamans marina.

Looking for an update for the Checkmate Regatta/Poker Run. Just trying to make plans for the summer.

Is this going to happen this year? I truly hope so. If so, is the new owner planning on having an open house like previous years? And, is the regatta going to be held the week-end of Aug.4th?

If this is going to happen, I'd like to see if we could get a larger number of Checkmate owners than in years past. All of us could get the word out early on the different boating forums that we all visit.
It would be nice to see the numbers like Eliminator and Commander have at their regattas.

I already have this time off from work, We plan on staying an extra day to explore Kelly's Island again. That was a blast last year. :bigthumb: :bigthumb: :bigthumb:
