Sorry it's a 218
I'm looking for my self. I already have a Senator with a BB. Would I be disappointed in the performance? My wife does not like the closed bow.
It's a local boat, I didn't even know it was in the area.
Thanks Again!

The link above in Malibu's post will tell you the average, high and low price for buying it from an individual. Enter the information they ask for and ta-da.....you have their "retail price." Really easy. Let us know if it a deal.

So the Boat is worth about 10500-11000 average price. It's above average condition but he's asking 17000. I could see several thousand more for something exceptional. But 4-5000 more? Isn't that a little out of line? I guess if I were selling my boat that's how I would price it. Any comments? Oh! it's a Persuader with a SB. Would I like it after having a Senator with a BB? I like the Senator,Im not sure the performance would be there with the Persuader.

I would assume you'd like the performance of the Persuader better.... I don't put much merit in the NADA suggested price. I've sold several boats over the years, and always ended up doing better then their prices. $17,000 seems a bit high, though. I think more around the lines of $13,000 would be fair assumming the hours are low and excellent condition. In my opinion, it's worth more then the NADA 10,500-11,000....You'd be looking at $35,000+ to buy it new.

I can think of a good example off hand that shows NADA is sometimes unrealastic. In 1998 I sold a 1987 Starflight with 200 merc in excellent condition for $14,000. At the time, the NADA retail high price with motor was at something like $7,000-$8,000. If someone would have offered me that at the time, I would have laughed them right off my property.

For comparison, I just bought a 1992 Persuader 203 with the 5.7 merc for $8200. It was in good condition and had 420 hrs on the motor.

In general it's really, really hard to put a value on used boats. There are just soooo many variables.
