I would like to know if there is a trailer I can buy that will allow my Pulse 186 to fit inside my garage. I have 20' 8" max. length available. This is probably tight, but I've seen a Skeeter SL190 which is an 18' 5" boat on a swing tongue trailer that has an overall length of 20' 3". Does anyone know what kind of trailer they use? Is there a simillar name brand trailer that would fit the Pulse. I'm paying $80 a month on storage space right now and I can't work on the boat during the winter :brickwall: A new trailer is an investment that I am willing to make if it will allow me to store it in the garage. My current trailer is a Harding bunk roller trailer with a long fixed tongue.
Any ideas?

Fulton makes a kit for a swing away tongue that you can install on pretty much any trailer.(either 3x3 or 3x4 tubing) Lots of places carry them, such as Cabela's. They are in the $130-150 range. Here is a link to an article Bass & Walleye Boat Magazine did on it.

Assuming you have no trailer brakes being an 18'er
You CAN make your current trailer work for you EASILY...
#1. As mentioned, you can buy a kit (under $150) to make it swing out of the way (quick & easy),
#2. You can simply "cut and sleeve" your existing tongue with a piece of square tubing that CORRECTLY fits either inside or outside of your current 3" square tube. Bolt it up with grade-8 quality 1/2" bolts (or preferably welded onto your coupler side and just two bolts to remove on & off on the trailer side). You will also need to add a trailer light connector to be able to unplug them when removing the tongue.
Personally, the KIT has it ALL, easy to install, and NO TOOLS needed to swing the tongue once it's installed!
Call Dave @ 951-682 0485---The Pivit Hitch is (or was) on sale for 1/2 price. Good luck... JIM

Wow. I didn't expect a response so fast. I will definitely have to take a look at that product! I'll measure my rig this weekend to see if 21" will be enough.
Thanks.

Jim,
This ranks as one of those "Why didn't I think of that" Moments. That makes a TON of sense. Slide the whole tongue out when in the garage and put it in and bolt it down when ready to go.
I would like to use the swing kit if it will fit because it's so easy (no tools) to use, but if it won't fit I'll be looking into the sleve tongue option.
If neither will work I'll be giving you a call Onthehammer
Thanks guys! This is a great site.

If your trailer is in good shape, DO NOT spend 2 grand on a new one. Buy the kit!!!! :bigthumb:

Well I am a MORON !!!
I thought I had 20'8". I don't know where I got that number..... :eyecrazy: I measured my garage and the is only 19'6" of room. :pissed: That is NEVER going to fit a Pulse 186. Especially after I put my CMC jackplate on it... I'm Screwed. Guess I'll just get used to paying for storage. :brickwall:
