Patching up the back of the transom on the outside and there are many blemishes (hairline cracks, epoxy and polyester resin repairs). What do I use the fill and fair these things. I went to Boaters World, and it seemed like they had 20 different products. I am not overly concerned with back of boats appearance, but I want to make sure that whatever I am using is as waterproof as possible. thanks

I have used West System products in the past with very good results. Just grind out out the crack, fill in with the west product stuff. I think you can purchase this stuff at Boaters World or West Marine. Good luck
