What is the max RPMs for a 92 2.5 200 XRi.My tach says Im running 6200 at max speed with a 23 tempest and I heard 5800 was max.Anyone know?Maybe I could spin a 24 tempest and pick up a few MPH?

5800 is the max recommended top rpm (powerband) but you can safely run a little higher. You will gain top speed with a good higher pitched prop, at the loss of holeshot. Go for a 25" Tempest Plus

I think your 6200 is on the limiter in the EFI programming... try a 24 or 25 pitch for reference and see what happens...
P.S. Loose that oil injection and pre-mix at 40 to 1 (like merc 2.5L competition motors use)... Your motor is safe at 6200+RPM but that oil injection is after 6000 is scary. Jim.
I would go with a different prop for sure. Maybe keep the 23 for pulling up a skier with a loaded boat in the middle of the hot humid summer, but I would try a 25" for normal driving. Better fuel economy and longer engine life at the lower RPM. Most places will have a prop that they will loan you to try out so you know what you need to order.
