Long story short.........Blew a tire in the Arizona desert........tire pieces hit the step on my trailer tearing it apart and up against my boat.......it caused cracking and delamination........could not get to the inside because the floatation area is there........tried to repair from the outside.........lasted one season and is now seeping..........Any suggestions..........I really wanna repair it from the inside..........Are those floatation areas easy to get out?.........Can i remove that floatation device and leave it out?......any help would be appreciated

They can be removed. Its nasty work, but its the only way to get to the back side. After you repair the spot, you can either replace it or not. Its your choice.

OK I removed the float foam today. It wasn't as difficult as i thought. It sure was an eye opening experience to see the back side of the crack. My patch work on the outside was close and now i see why it is starting to seep again. Now i can repair it with confidence that it will be fixed correctly.

I laid in two layers of glass and resin today with future plans of building a locker cabinet in that corner. Heading out tomorrow for the colorado river for a weekend of boating. Wish me luck on the leak repair. Will post pics of the trip when i get back.

Bad news my friends...... I hit something in the water causing damage and delamination so bad my baby is irrepairable. So i have decided to part her out. I am in california but i am willing to help out with shipping. The interior has just been reupholstered and i replaced the dual cable nfb sterring system a year ago. all parts are in good shape including the wind shield. The motor is an xr2 150 but that would be a little harder to ship. Overall the boat is in great shape. I just had gone through it and had the floor redone and recarpeted. I am really depressed about this and will post pics asap. If you need a part and you think its on this boat lety me know.
