I'm looking for as much info as I can on 1998 Convincor 290 w/ Mercruiser 500EFI.
Is this a good hull?
How fast will this boat run?
Does anyone know of this boat? The boat was sold in NY to it's first owner. Then traded in Flordia for a fishing boat. Then the Flordia dealer sent it to his Tennessee dealership where it sits forsale now.
What would be a good price on this boat?
Is there any other boats like this one for sale?

Fryed........first off it's a Convincor 300 ( or most likely 283 same boat name change) 28' boat. It should run high 60's GPS.......NADA guide should be able to get you a book value on it. Great hull i've ran a couple of them in the last few years....loved it good ruff water boat for it's size. Had one w/ a procharged 502 in it ran 80 GPS! We changed the boats bottom design slightly in 2002 makeing it a bit faster than the earlier version.But it's still a great hull.

Fryed, I have a 283Convincor with a 502-415HP and it runs about 67mph and it planes almost instant. the boat handles great in calm and rough waters. I bought the boat used last spring and I love it. That 1998 listed for about $80,000 with a 502-415hp with a traler, plus options, if it has a 500hp it listed for about 95k. To find current value check what there selling for on the web, I would guess that mid to high 40s would be in the ball park but more if its a 500HP. Good luck.

Just FYI the dealer near me has a new (never sold) 2000 283 with twin 454 mags and all the good stuf,list $103.000 asking $75,000 , but it can be bought for a lot less.
