Do you have a kewl boating pic? It doesn't have to be anything in particular, just something that you think looks kewl. If so post it here.

This is a pic we took out the back of our old runabout. It's an old Grew that we have for year round use. I love this pic for some strange reason. I just like the scenery and the way the flag is showed off. This is what Canada is all about!

My 14 Aluminum boat
1996 Mariner Magnum 40
37.4 MPH (GPS)
You do the math - 1.07 HP/MPH, thats pretty damn close to 1 HP/MPH!!!!!

Custom built setback http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
This weekend we're raising the motor up another inch, trying a larger pitch prop (its 16 right now) and trying for some more speed. We would love to see 40. Not bad for a 14' with a 40 HP motor? http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Story of this boat, we bought it with a Force (Chrysler 50) and we drove it the first year, we never even hit 30 MPH with the thing. One of the last few days of the summer we blow it up somehow (cause unknown.) So early next year our buddy found a brand new never used 1996 Mariner 490 at Hurst marina. Cost was right at $1500 (canadian) for this never used motor. So we play around with this for a while, until we want more speed, so we add the setback. We ran it one summer about 35 MPH or so. Over the winter we brought it home, sandblasted all the old paint off and painted it properly this time (excepot the transom as you can see, but it was rebuilt and strong as hell, we make this boat FLY!!!) and added the custom built setback! This boat has had lots of work, and it pays off and is tons of fun, we'll now trying to locate electric start (its pull start http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) and power trim! Its one sweet little ride if you me! http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

My boat does 38 MPH (GPS Verified) with 2 people, one sitting behind the seat and the other sitting in the transom http://www.checkmate-boats.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

P.S. this is a close up of my custom made setback!

Not the best pic but cool anyway. My neighbor took it from a friends cabin. Almost missed the shot.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v454/fastboat60/2004DuckLake007.jpg

Thanks Chris, That was off Ocrakoke, NC last summer. Towed the boat down and spent a week.
Had a blast blasting around Pamlico Sound!
