Better? Sorry for before. I just had to prove a point. If someone joins that actually owns a 90+ Checkmate, I'd be damned...

Somebody will Z, it's just a matter of time. Odds are it won't be the O/B boats, it'll be one or more of the bigger I/O boats that have monster power in them. I'd hate to feed one of those beasts!!!!

Hell, I don't even want to think about filling my 75 gallon tank with what gas prices are doing. I thought I would have to back down on the RPM's if gas stays this high, then I woke up!

Thats where the 50 Force comes in. Does not cost too much if full. A tank usually lasts all day, literally from all the water-sports... Now for the Venus however, frequent trips to the gas station...

YEah, but what doea a venus carry, 20 - 25 gallons? Any high perf boat with small tanks will make frequent stops. If I do my normal running, Iwill probably have to plop 200 bucks on a weekend in the tank, not includeing the truck. Price goudging anyone?

Fuel milage? Don't get me started. Darn merc of mine loves 93, lotts of it. A day of playing I fill the truck, 20 gal. Fill the boat tank 19 gal, fill 2 6 gal totes. That will normaly get me through a day of playing. But $75 for a day of smiles and enjoyment on the water is not to bad.

I absolutely agree Gus, I use a day on the water to forget about everyday life! 75 bucks for gas or 150 bucks per hour for a shrink, I'll take the gas!

Not too sure. I think it's completly custom behind the rear seats. It usually costs him around 75-100 to fill up from empty... OUCH... I'll be spending $ on my new car... Not a boat right now...

75 Maybe? I'm not too sure. It is way worth it. Water-sports, 90+ runs, all the wicked things of boating...

I hope to be flirting with 90 this summer. My pulse 185 with a 280 2.5 did 85 last year and I have just installed a SVS and a Exhaust tuner on it and am having the ECU re-maped by rapair. Also I worked on the bottom by sharpening the edges and sanding the bottom. I also moved the jack-plate up 1 inch so the prop center will run slightly above the pad with my 25 inch lightning ET.

I hope you have a rev limiter on the bad boy. you might not want to go that high right off the bat. I would go in quater inch increments. I does not sound like much, but it makes a big differance, I used to adjust by 16ths when I was fine tuning
