Haven't really been out in the boat in the past few weeks, been playing alot the past couple days though...tried 29" tempest which was no good, 30" chopper I which was ok but no bow lift at all and I'm playing with a 28" chopper II now...which is ok, only getting about 6500 rpm, runnin about 1" under the pad, gotta move the motor up on the jack plate. GPS speed is at 78.8 which is where I think its gonna stay til I move the motor up.
Here's another one...

even though you are the competition :D ..... i have to tell you. you need to run a 30P hoss triton. a triton will blow that chopper out of the water all around. when i used a 30 hoss i ran it .5 above the pad.
i only got to try it a couple times and i loved it. i ran a 29P mazco re3 as well. it ran pretty good. 80 i think.
i have a prop results post around here somewhere. good luck. keep us posted.

I actually got the offer to use a 30 hoss triton the other day. :D But he hasn't dropped it off yet. We moved the motor up on the jack plate yesterday so it can get to .5 above now...got 80.4 today, its just not getting the rpm's with that prop. Movin the motor up made it much easier to drive at speed now to.

that hoss will blow your mind if you are getting 80 with that chopper. best i could get with a 28 chopper was 78.8.

Do you remember what you were spinning for rpm's with that 28?
I just saw the guy that offered me to spin that hoss last night getting towed home... :( So I'll have to find him to see what happened.
The battle of the predictors would be sweet. :thumb: But seeing as illmattic is about 15 hours away, I don't see it happening too soon.

i could only turn the 28P chopper 6300-6400 rpm. it had a lot of slip out of the hole. the 30 hoss was able to run out at 6400-6500 rpm. i hit 81.7 mph. i only took a couple passes with it. im sure i could have hit a bit faster.
the hoss accelerated like my 26P did but with the higher top end.

Thanks. :thumb: I'm just spinning a couple hundred more rpm than you with the 28...I can't wait to see what the hoss will do. I'm gonna throw my 30p chopper I back on and try it since I jacked the motor up...I need to get this thing spinning around 7000 rpm...that's when it starts to sing. :D
Here is a clip of me against a hydrostream, not sure what size, with a 200 on it. That was me in front...sorry about the sun in the eyes. :)
