Default Transom saver, motormate, or nothing?

Anyone use a transom saver or motormate? When I got the boat they told me I didn't need one as my 86 Evinrude 225 (BE225PTLCD) has these "feet" that rest against the motor. Good advice or should I get a saver/mate?

I only used Transom savers on my Walleye rigs. I don't trailer the Checkmate, but if I did...Transom saver. Here's what I prefer...

I'd use one. Those little feet still put all of the stress on the transom no different than if you didn't use them. Those merely take the pressure off of the hydraulic rams.
