Default New member (check-less, but looking) from OH

Hi folks - new to the forum. I'm starting my search for a boat (yes I know it's starting fall here in southern OH, but I'm cheap and hoping I can grab one at a discount - less than 10k). So far I've seen a few Persuaders that fit the need of open-bow family boat. I love the 2400 BRX but unfortunately can't swing the $$ as I have a Jetski fetish too and just started on fixing one of those. I'll likely share some Persuader listings to get your thoughts on value

TIA

Matt

Welcome!
Give this one a look at. It has a bad floor in it but might be worth it if you aren’t afraid to tear into it.

Nice color combination. And it's only 1800 miles or so away...

Thanks - I actually saw this one when searching (interesting that it didn't mention the bad floor though), so it begs the question - what is it worth?? 10k that needs a floor seems very high. There is another one that looks more of a creampuff (https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/b...699780582.html) but $11k -is that a good deal?

The classic - "it's worth what someone will pay" comes to mind but I like buying something and knowing I can sell it "tomorrow" if something changes in my life and not having to cut it 50% to do it

My sis lives in Loveland on Landen Lake. Nice area. Where will you be boating at?

I had a deposit on that one in Chicago. Owner flaked out when I told him I wanted a test drive before I paid him. He did give me back my deposit though. If you can get that one for under $10,000 I think it’s a very good deal. You will have to put a good set of tabs on it. It is also running open exhaust...if that matters. I still have a bunch of photos of this boat I could send you.

As for that Persuader 234 get a hold of BADBK that’s his brother’s boat. If that floor is truly bad there should be some room to negotiate. For the right price that might be a sweet boat.

I love that Landen lake, but our kids love the Sycamore Schools right now. When they leave the nest (assuming we are still in Cinci), we'll be there

We like Brookville for a close experience. Also inlaws have a farm in Highland Co, so likely some at Rocky Fork. For a bigger commitment, our friends have a place at Norris but I'd like to check out Cumberland - seen some great pictures from there.
