Default Pulse air 210 setup

I am new to this site. Found a 210 bowrider to restore. I have a fuel injected 3 liter omc to hang on the boat. Was thinking on a 14 to 16 in setback. Any one have experience with a short motor on these boats

If speed is what you want, 14" - 16" setback and the propshaft centerline adjustable from 3" below the pad to 2" above the pad. If you have at least 250hp you will start to get into 80+mph territory and may need a nose cone on the lower unit. Or if it was Merc. power then a speedmaster lower unit.

My current setup is a3.0 liter omc. It is heavily ported with an etec front half and throttle body. The efi is fired with a brucato box. It has yamaha ignition.the whole thing sits atop a 16 in offshore mid with a 3.0 sportmaster gearcase. It puts out 330 hp at 7500 rpm on pump gas.the motor runs very well and has proven to be very dependable. I will put the motor on a hydraulic jack plate.

I'm running a 21' Pulsare with 18" of setback and a 16" mid. With lots of setback and a short engine, dunking the power head can be a problem when coming off plane. Full fuel, a heavy engine and passengers in the back all compound the problem. I use a drag foil on the engine and a skid plate under the setback which helps.
