UPDATE:

THERE IS NO ROT!! I am shocked that there is no rot in transom and stringers. I will find the ugly pics I saw from this boat a couple years ago and post them next.

Motors, drives, pumps, tabs etc is out of the boat. Clean slate to begin with.

Here is another thread from years ago that I found when I was buying the boat. I was honestly expecting so much worse with the hull. The more I dig into these zt330 boats, the more I find that the gelcoat on them cracked.

My glass guy is in the process of repairing all of the cracks currently. Once again I am shocked that the stringers, transom and bulkheads were not rotten.

Did you find any of those cracks where I said some might be?

Sure did. So it has cracks (hairline surface in the gel) around almost every gauge, has some vertical just in front of engine bay on each side, and at every protrusion on the transom. Not any up front where handrail is but from the windshield back it has them basically anywhere something protruded the hull (above and below rub rail).

The vertical cracks on the side go down and touch the flag and stop. They originate from screw holes behind the rub rail.

Maybe the gel was just way to thick on this boat.

I gotta give it to checkmate....for this boat to have been so poorly taken care of....its impressive no water penetrated the stringers, transom or bulkheads.

Ordered the sea strainers and water pumps this morning.

Latham 2 stage SS pumps from teague
10" stainless sea strainers fro. Teague

Going to run one stage of pump to intercooler and the other to engine and plumb freshwater flush to the top port on strainer. They look like really nice units. The pumps were almost double the hardin marine units but they aren't something I was willing to sacrifice quality on just because of a few bucks.

I didn't order my water pickup tubes though. I need to do some measurements and research and see which ones I wanna order. Gonna see if I can find some pics on the forum of other people's setups.
