Model Owned: Horizon 190

Default 1987 Four Winns Horizon 190

Boat:
1987 Four Winns Horizon 190 (Made in MI!)
This boat is all original and in VERY good shape for its age. The interior is very clean, vinyl is still soft and pliable on the seats. The boat has a lot of built in storage, including two large built in coolers that will hold ice all day on the water. Everything functions as it should with the boat. A new CD player was installed last summer with capabilities to hook your IPOD up. The boat has 4-6.5" speakers in it that work great for listening to music while your relaxing at the sand bar.
The boat has a lot of classic teak finished wood, I refinish my teak yearly and it looks brand new. I get so many compliments on this boat when its in the water, its in amazing condition for its age.
Custom MC numbers were also done on high quality vinyl last year, they look great!
The boat has been waxed/buffed nearly every time out on the water, it shines right up and looks great with the rub of a towel once back on the trailer.
Motor:
1987 Mercury 150HP XR2 V6
Motor is very strong and runs very smooth. There are some scuffs on the clamshells from the cover. Nature of the beast.
Motor runs on 50:1 mixed gas, its very easy to ensure the correct mixture of gas/oil as 50:1 is approx 3oz oil per 1 gal of gas.
Motor had new thermostats, water pump, and poppet valve installed last year. I'm big on preventative maintence.
Motor runs flawless and this boat gets up and goes. Its fairly easy on gas as well, so long as you keep the boat at 'cruising speed' which is about 30-35mph. Top speed w/19 pitch prop is 51mph. For asking price, I will include my 17 pitch stainless prop which we used when having a boat load of people or when pulling watersporters.
Trailer:
1987 Shorelander Roller Trailer
Has new lights/tires/bearings. The rollers guide the boat on very easy, and make it a quick launch/retreive.
The boat has a full cover that snaps to the edges, it has 2 center support poles with a vent to keep air movement in the summer. This boat rarely sits outside, but when it does, the cover will not allow water to go thru it. I've also had all the snaps tightened and some replaced, and the stitching checked.
The boat can be seen in Bellaire, MI where it is in storage. I live out of town, but my Dad will be handling the showing of the boat. I will be up 3-25-11 to 3-27-11 if you'd like to talk with me and take a look at the boat.

$3950.00 OBO

Thank you for looking, PM with anymore questions. I do have more pictures of the boat to share as well that can be sent via email.

Unfortunatley not. At least not this summer.

Fiance needs a new car, and we're getting married in August so won't be any extra money/time for a boat this year, figured we'd dump it if we could and look again as we can afford to.

We voted sleds over the boat!

Understand. I'm dumping a bunch of my stuff now as I just cant use it. Having a pile of cash in hand for something else is a better ideal for me right now anyways! Sides, you can always replace it down the road after things calm down from the marriage. Good luck with it

Thanks! I've got quite a few bites, seems like a lot of early season tire kickers, but there is one couple who wants to drive 4hrs to see it Saturday, so we'll see.

We did, but I'm the type that everything is always for sale, if an offer came that we couldn't refuse who knows what would happen.
