1972 MX-16-What's it worth? Interested?

I have a 1972 MX-16 that I recently acquired with a property I purchased. It has a 150hp Mercury with power trim. The trailer is a 2007 EZ loader.

Not entirely sure if we're going to keep this boat or sell it. Any input on what it's worth? Anyone interested?

I don't have much history other than it was either a one or two owner boat. The party I got it from bought it in '72 or '73. I have started it with muffs but haven't had it in the water yet. Plan to do that this weekend.

I don't see any major issues with the boat. The floor seems solid and everything I have checked works. The carpet is in good shape so I'm guessing that was replaced at some point. The drivers seat backrest is loose and the upholstery on the back seat has pulled out.

I do have a title for it.

Depending on what you paid for it, the asking price would be market value. some retired guy with a buncha 401K may shuck out $3000. It may be only worth $1000 if the motor is low on compression. Trailer is a moot point. People say the trailer alone is worth $1000. Personally I would never pay more than $200 for ANY trailer regardless of what it is. A boat is worthless without a trailer, but a trailer shouldn't dictate the price of the boat.
With no history or compression test/leakdown on the motor, no telling the condition. If the boat top deck is as shiny as the sides, then I would say you have a pretty good basis for a resto, basically interior and you're done.
