Pulsare Series History
The first boat to debut in the Pulsare series, was the "Pulsare 2100" (21') model that was first manufactured for the 1994 model year. The Pulsare 2100 was designed to replace the outgoing Starflite (21' Closed Deck) and Starliner (21' Bowrider) models. The 2100 Pulsare first appears in the 1994 brochure, but is only pictured as a closed deck.
Although a bowrider version is not pictured in the 1994 brochure, the literature does detail a bowrider version is also available. The bowrider version first appears in the 1995 brochure. Scans of both the 1994 closed deck and 1995 bowrider brochure scans are pictured below. An interesting detail of note, the 1994 brochure pic shows a rare curved "Checkmate" script logo used on the rear of the boat. By 1995, Checkmate had moved to the more commonly seen straight script.
Since the introduction of the 2100 Pulsare in 1994, other models have been added to the Pulsare line over a number of year. The Pulsare lineup of boats now encompasses boats from 16'-24'in length and is the represents the sole lineup of outboard powered models Checkmate offers.
