Supporting Member Program Details
Checkmate Community Forums and Endless Boating Forums are funded mainly through the generous donations of members as well as finacial support we receive from Supporting Vendors.
For members who are kind enough to contribute financially to either our sites, we have have a subscription program we call our "Supporting Member Progam".
Benefits of becoming a Supporting Member are as follows;
- Ability to upload attachments from your desktop to our server (Maximum 50 MB total storage space)
- Ability to upload attachments from your desktop to certain categories of our photo gallery
- Ability to create a personal album of images in our photo gallery and then link to the images in your posts on the forums
- Access to the exclusive Checkmate Boats supporter's forum
- Increased private message storage of 300 messages versus standard 75
- Ability to post events on the forums calendar
- Supporter's Icon Image appears in postbit under your avatar.
- Username appears in yellow both on the online now box as well as postbit, signifying forum supporting status
- Increased avatar upload size to 50 KB versus standard 20 KB
All subscriptions are effective on both of our sites - Endless Boating & Checkmate-Boats. One donation gets a member benefits on both sites. To have your membership upgraded on both sites, please send me a private message with your two applicable board names.
We also have a special limited access three month subscription program, for members looking to gain the ability to upload a limited number of images.
Benefits of three month limited access Supporter's Subscription details are as follows;
- This is a special three month supporter's subscription which allows a member to upload a limited amount of photos (approximately ten) to our servers.
- This program is ideally suited to a member who has a listing in our buy and sell forums and wishes to upload some photos so support their classified ad.
- This program is also suited to a member who wishes to upload a few photographs or to enter our "Boat of the Month" feature.

Ways to Contribute
Using Paypal
We currently have three "automated" contribution available, all are available through the vBulletin control panel. The subscription area is located in member's control panel area under the link "Paid Subscriptions". Or you can [click here] to take you directly to the subscription area.
The vBulletin automated subscription system utilizes paypal and there are currently three options in a member's control panel.
- $25.00 U.S. dollars for a 1 year supporter's subscription
- $15.00 U.S. dollars for a 6 month supporter's subscription
- $ 5.00 U.S. dollars for the special three month "limited access" subscription
Depending on community feedback we may also introduce additional donation options.
Members making subscription purchases made through the automated vBulletin subscription system will normally have their accounts upgraded to the supporter's group effective immediately. As the vBulletin subscription system is automated, the board's software will also send subscription expiry notices a few days before your subscription ends. If you decide not to renew your subscription, when your subscription officially ends, the board's software will automatically move you back to the regular member usergroup.
Alternatively, you can also donate a different amount if you wish utilizing our supporter's page. The supporter's page can be accessed by clicking the "piggy bank" donate icon which is located at the bottom of most forum pages. Since this method is not automated, we will need to upgrade your membership manually. We will try to have this done within 48 hours.
