" For Sale" 87 Senator in Louisiana

Still for Sale... I had taken it off the market for the summer to fix it, then got selected to go to work at Oshkosh (airshow) and that took most of that time... Decided to sell it again.

" For Sale" 87 Senator in Louisiana

Due to changing circumstances, I am placing this boat up for sale. As a lot of you know, I pulled this boat from partial submersion from my friends boathouse after it slipped out of its straps. I have worked on it off and on over the last almost 2 years. I have posted some updates in the...

    I need a new carb...

1987 5.7 Chevy, Rochestor Quadrajet. You can read about why I need it under my other thread, "Louisiana Senator." I have already rebuilt it once, so I think now I am just going to replace it with a Holley or Edelbrock. Which one is the best for this application? Also, will I have to modify the...

    Question regarding Trim Sender Hook-up

Got IT!! After playing around with it, and looking at where wires are and are not, then comparing it to the Seloc drawings, We were able to find it! It is on the front of the engine by the circuit breaker... a broken wire was sitting there attached to a brown and white wire. IT didn't go...

    Question regarding Trim Sender Hook-up

Can anyone help me with this? Today we were getting the trim all set-up in preparation for sea trials hopefully in the next few weeks. The trim sender switch mounts on the Starboard side of the gimbal housing, and the Trim Limit switch is on the Port. My question concerns the wiring hook-up...

    Can't start this $*@^)$^ engine!!

It is the rubber bellows that goes from the bell housing to the outdrive. There is a bigger one above it that the drive shaft goes thru, and a smaller one for the shift cable. And, I do believe it is a sierra part, but I did use the quicksilver bellows adhesive. I can see if it wasn't in...

    Can't start this $*@^)$^ engine!!

Tim, when using starter fluid, it backfires a good bit, but occasionally fires through the exhaust. Adding fuel to the carb backfires evry now and then, but mostly just doesn't do much. The accelerator pump is pumping plenty of fuel. Mostly it just spins and spins with an occasional burp. The...
