    " For Sale" 03 1600BR Pulsare w/03 125 Merc MN $13,000

The 280 would be a perfect fit. Lighter than a 3.0L but need more frequent rebuilds. If I'm not mistaken those Pulse models are some heavyweights compared to the Pulsares. The claimed weight of a 16' Pulsare is #850. That's about 525 less than my previous 21' Pulsare(#1375) The claimed weight of...

    " For Sale" 03 1600BR Pulsare w/03 125 Merc MN $13,000

What do you think some one could get this boat for minus the lift and engine ? This would be a perfect specimen for a 3.0L monster. :eyecrazy:

    cant get more speed

From some research I was reading the 91' and earlier Pulses are about 300 lbs lighter than the 92 and newer models ? Is this true ? If so, the older Pulses should be a few MPH faster with similar setups ? What do you think is the optimum setback for the Pulse ? I was looking at jzueleger's 91'...

    454 mag won't rev over 4k - fuel pressure?

I'd spray some starter fluid on/around intake instead of water. If rpms increase you know you have an intake leak.

    3rd times a charm????

Sorry to hear of the melt down. I was kicking around the idea of buying jzuleger21 checkmate. He has a 91 150 that was rebuilt 3 yrs ago. I'm not really interested in the 150. I was thinking of repowering with a 225. He's located just south of Madison, WI.
