    New Updated Official Checkmate Website

I want a BRX with the same color scheme as the boat Wildman used in the S & F photo shoot. I can make the payments on a new boat, but I am having a problem "coming to terms" with the "no modify policy" that will be enforced on this boat. I may have to keep the Starliner just to have something to...

    New Updated Official Checkmate Website

Just got done printing my wife a picture of our next boat, from the new web site. 24' BRX yellow, silver & black-----BAD A$$. She said go for it. -----as long as I sell the "starliner from hell" & promise "in writing this time" not to modify, molest or in any way attempt to improve on the...

    FrankenRude's laboratory

There is a guy in Jacksonville FL that will shorten your mid. Otherwise check with Taylor Marine/ MAD EFI. I think they have a adapter plate to mount a V8 powerhead to a V6 mid.

Trying to get out of Lurking

Thats nice, clean rigging on the engine & under the hatch. :thumb: Did you do that yourself? Also, I didnt see any mufflers, I'll bet that thing sounds killer @ about 4000 rpms.

Starflite - How fast when chine walk?

Mine starts to walk about 65mph if I hold it there, or creap up to that speed. If I stand on it @ about 35-40mph & blow right past 65mph, the boat rocks about 3 times before it comes out the other side, rock solid. Thats with hyd. steering, solid lower motor mounts & 6" of setback. Thats also...

What swt up will work the best on a 21' Enchanter O/B

A 15'' mid, with about 10'' of set back would work just fine on a checkmate. What you would do is move the motor back, but not up. You could mount the engine at basically the same height as everyone else with a 20'' mid (prop shaft to bottom measurement) but the power head would be 5'' lower...

    Pulsare 2400 longdeck

Is that the boat that Wildman used for the S & F photo shoot? Bad A$$ either way.

    Boat or wife?

But, It is much easier & less expensive to trade up to a better boat than a wife. Plus you can buy a new boat without losing your old boat, you can park them next to each other, no fighting or crying. Try that with a wife. You'll have to pay for the new wife & pay the old wife to leave. You cant...

    Johnson V8

I realize its pointless now, but I went home yesterday & measured my boat. The top of the cowling is 48" above the floor, & the entire powerhead, including lower cowling is above the the top of the splashwell. Go to the thread '' hot mates by Kunkles Marine " on this site, then scroll down to...

    Johnson V8

A Johnson V8 with an off-shore midsection weights 548lbs. & all the weight is at the top. On my starliner the top of the cowl is 40'' above the floor, if you put that on the back of a trimate it would still float. (upside down):brickwall::brickwall:

Bet you haven't seen this before

It would be more practical if it had a stripper pole!

I just finished another new 21ft Liberator tunnel.

I was in Daytona last week & met Randy. Thats not the only bad a$$ boat he's got. I took the full tour & every boat he has is bad a$$. By the way, I saw the 2009 24' closed bow Checkmate he rigged. It is perfect!

    Great action pic

Hey Wildman, don't get mad when you see a starliner with the same paint job. That boat makes me want to sand mine down & redo it. that thing is bad a$$ ! ( and my new screen saver as well ). By the way, I will be in Port Orange tomorrow, gonna try to find you.
