I finally got the new jackplate made by vance manufacturing and got it on today. I am out to get the new prop on monday. my question is what should I be using for a transom saver. i am alittle concerned with the new jackplate because it is alot lighter and doesn't seem to be made as stout as the old one. Whats everyone think?

I don't think I'd worry about the strength of the jackplate. That aluminum is tougher than you think. The boat transom may benefit from a transom saver just from the stress of so much setback. It should be fine, but anything that helps would be good.
