Evinrude mounts

Does anyone know where you can get solid mounts for Evinrude 2.6?

Check with Al Stoker at John's Custom Marine in California. He is probably hands down the best Evinrude guy in North America, having built many, many race engines and raced Mod VP himself for many years.

You can also find solid mounts for your OMC on the " www.screamandfly.com "parts wanted" section of that board. I've seen them posted for sale many times.

considered them for my looper. was afraid they would rattle the rest of my teeth out. just how noticeable is the vibration?

I didn't really notice a difference- I installed uppers and lowers.

Contacted Johns and they recommended using v8 mounts upper and lower. Said they were much stiffer than v6.

Mine are made out of billet aluminum... couple pics of the lowers:

I shimmed and pinned my stock mounts, not 100% solid but way better than stock
