building seats

Brian, I always wondered what that wood was for

I am doing some minor repairs on my seats and didn't know why that small strip of wood was there.

Good talking to ya Will!

To answer his question incase anyone else is wondering.... There is a second bottom that fits inside the 1x2's. This is free floating from the seat and the cover is wrapped around and stapled at the bottom. I did forget to tell you, drill a hole in the center (3/4-1") so it lets air in and out. If not then when you get up, the seat will not fluff right back up!
