Picked up a sweet 16 foot model a couple of weeks ago. New floor, seats and tires. Been looking at Checkmates for years and found this one for $1,000. The powerhead to the 1986 Evinrude 90 has a cylinder that is scored with a blown piston. I am currently looking for another engine block that pushes at least 90 horses, but really want 115. If anyone has one in good condition for a good price that will fit my engine let me know!

Cool, what is powering yours? Top speed?

115 Merc, don't know the top speed, needs restored. I haven't even taken the cover off since I bought it.

Nice ride welcome
I have a 94 search my name to see some post.
Also search predictor for some valuable information.
My top speed is 62ish after jack plate and solid engine mounts. Can't see it going any faster with out lots of money. Setup and prop are the best bang for the buck. IMO
