He is the new project . The little 14 foot will be put on hold till I finish with this boat . I was looking for the Checkmate trim tabs and the checkmate bucket seats and a different trailer I just happend to find everything and a boat came with it . For the 200.00 I paid for it all was well worth it the hull itself is very soild . Transom will be replaced and also the floor . I left the boat up at the lake house but brought the buckets home so I can dig the old wood off the bottom and glass in a new piece . But with in the next few weeks ill have her here at home and the restoration will begin .

I started removing the old wood off one of the bucket seats . Figured since I didnt bring the boat back home I would atleast bring the seats home so I could get something done . The glass looks really good still . Here is a few pictures of the progress so far

Cool boat, Looks like a fun project, any idea what your gonna power it with?

I have another 150hp inline Six out in the garage that I am going to hang on the back . It will serve a better purpose on the back of this little 15 ft than on my garage floor lol .

I got some of my new steering parts today . Need just a few more pieces and ill have a complete steering package when the time come to install ....

Nice looking boat you have there Will. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Are you planning on new transom, deck and stringers?

Thanks Mike . I went out today and picked up the plywood for the seat bases and a furring strip . Some resin and a few packs of glass . got the base started this afternoon and should have that seat finished tomorrow and will post pics .

I went out today Since I finally had a day off and the weather was very nice for the 13th of november . I bought New LED trailer light kit today and mixed up some resin and coated the seat cushion base to protect it from moisture. Ive been wanting to go get the boat and bring it back but I worked over 60 hrs this past week so I really didnt have to much time to do anything . Hell I went in at 4:30 pm thursday and got home at 4:05 am friday morning and had to be back at 8 am that morning and work till 5pm . but one day ill get it home .

Bought a new set of wheels and tires and they arrived today . These will look so much better than whats on it now ....

I called the guy today that I am sending my 150 hp inline six mercury too for a rebuild . He was very informative in what he does and what his process is . I will most likely send it out just after christmas . I figured since I am completely redoing the boat I should just go ahead and do the motor so that I dont end up with a sharp looking boat and messed up motor . Ill post up pictures as soon as I get out and tear the motor apart and get it ready to be shipped out .....

Looks great. Looking forward to seeing more pics. Should be a fun toy come spring. :thumb:

Thanks Im hoping to have it all together by the end of the summer 2011 or sooner . Thank God I have 2 other Checkmates incase this one isnt finished . Right now she is 200 miles from home at my lake home in Northern Michigan Just havent had the time to go up and bring her home . Work keeps getting in the way lol .
