1985 Sportfire 115hp L6 setup

I hear that about not being out on the lake over a Holiday weekend. That's when all the crazy Weekend Warriors are out with no common sense. All they do is chop up the water. It's always best to Foot when it's like glass. Anyway, does your boat have a Trim Gauge? I would always start out with my 135 trimmed all the way in and then have my wife trim it up a couple of bumps once I was out of the water and and sliding on my butt. That's definitely good for a couple more mph right there. As I'm sure you know, once you're on your feet you lose a couple of mph. Best wishes and I hope the prop works out.
 
Kinda fond of my tower of power but.........stumbled on a 2004 evinrude 115 w controls I think I can get for 3k
