2018 Muskoka Checkmate Run

Once again "Muskoka" is arranging a great day for us who are Checkmate enthusiasts. A tour of the 3 Muskoka Lakes with lunch at Turtle Jacks in Port Carling and post run refreshments at a private cottage on Lake Muskoka. All sizes and styles of Checkmate Power Boats welcome to attend. This run is about 100-110 miles taking about 6 hours start to finish. The average speed depends on conditions and number of boats, the goal being a safe enjoyable ride.

I am pleased to invite you to attend the 2018 Muskoka Checkmate Run
When: Friday July 20th 2018; meet@ 9:15am, departing at 10:00am
Where to meet: Gravenhurst Wharf, Gravenhurst, ON
No entry fees: Drivers will sign a waiver and attend the drivers meeting @ 9:45am. We will meet at Gravenhurst Wharf public dock.

For those trailering, great free boat launching facilities and trailer parking available. Meet on the water at the docks just near the Steamships.

should be a good run. May be shorter than previous years but with more scenery.
 
Like to make it back up, but won’t be this year. I work that Friday and Sunday. Have fun!

Nice to see the enthusiasm and posts, thanks Ianz for the event post.
Only 3 days til the ride on Friday July 20 around the 3 big Muskoka Lakes.
Our plan is meeting at Gravenhurst Wharf public docks at 9:15-9:30am, drivers meeting, pictures and launch by 10am.

Tour full outside of Lake Muskoka via Bracebridge and Bala to Port Carling. Lunch at famous Turtle Jacks in our private Checkmate room.

1:30 departure through the locks up through Port Sandfield, past Billionaires row up to the top of Lk Joe, down the Lake Joe river into Lake Rosseau by Red Leaves & Clevlands House, around Tobin Island, past Windemere back to Port Carling Locks, then back down to East Bay to IanZ's place for a refreshment and munchies.
 
Super Fun Rally Day

We had fabulous weather and 13 Checkmates showed up. Toured all 3 big Muskoka lakes (over 100 miles of running) and got some nice action pics. Thanks to Ianz for hosting the Apres Rally refreshments on his dock.
