Buying Checkmate??

JUPITER PULSARE

Well-known member
Maybe all the true diehard Checkmate fanatics should all pool their money together and we can buy what's left of Checkmate and begin a new chapter:thumb:! I'm all in!! How bout you?? I even have the experience as a factory direct sales rep, finance manager and sales manager in the boating industry!!!...

We can get Coop to run the shop, Wildman to rig and help sell, Roberts and Pier 57 as dealers, I'll run the sales, factory tours & F&I dept, etc etc!

all i know is the best deals are bought in worse times. en sold in the best times..

i have bought today a trucktrailer. for a price i could not believe.
i use it for boat transport and crane transports. and when the market is better i sell it again.

buy the name and smaller moulds. throw in a lot of cash en bring up a good export salesmen. that's a chance they never had a good look at.

if it's going bad in the US in sales will not say that you will not sell. sell it to the rest of the world with container long boats.
there are a lot of upcoming markets who have the money now.

the money to buy isn't the big issue here after all, getting the salesnumbers up with a working markting plan is.

I'm in for a 1/1000th.
1/1000th of what?
I'll give all I can come up with, but I get to be the product tester. Me and Me alone!
You're gonna need a navigator/ballast. Navigation I'm so-so at but boy can I ballast.

venture capital... hmmm

I wouldn't mind investing for a small return and position on the board
I'm in for whatever Spence is in for. But I'm gonna need that board position too.
So I can vote against him.

I'm in. I want to open a new Checkmate Dealership in Bloomfield Hills (very wealthy north Detroit). I would bet my left one Michigan has the most mates in the world. We love Checkmates around here. I just got goosebumps. Did I mention I'm in.

Your typical buyer in Bloomfield Hills would be wearing many gold chains and shopping for Baja's. I'm all in only if I can appoint myself and viper modeling supervisors.

What's left for me?

Since you guys took all the white collar jobs with very little buy in, I guess that leaves John L. Jimway and I (the only western guys here) to actually put in some money and build the boats.
Typical, eastern guys are the brains and western guys are the labour.:rof:

All i am good at is build things fixing things and running the s**t out of things! I would do any and all of the above to keep the doors open!!!!:surf:
