Exterior Carb Cleaner????

SCT

Well-known member
Anyone have a good tip on how to make the exterior of my carbs (Merc I6) look like new? I overhauled them and used plenty of degreaser and carb cleaner but the exteriors look pretty ratty next to my freshly painted block. I've heard MEK, lemon juice, Pine Sol, etc.

Thanks-

I have successfully used Eastwood's carb paint in the past. I have also used Hi-heat silver on my corvair carbs, but the eastwood held up better

When you've got them torn down, the best way is to media blast them in a tank
