Help needed with HIN

My 86 Checkmate doesn’t have an HIN anywhere on it. It does have a custom paint job, could it have been covered up? Please help
 
Pull the carpet down under the gunnel next to the driver’s seat and see if the HIN number is painted on the inside of the hull. Or it might be on the passenger’s side. Maybe Coop can verify this info.
